Homes appropriate to the needs of the applicant and the community are offered to people on the Housing Register in date order.
-
When there are applications with the same date we offer the home on the basis of who has met the most criteria first and then local connections.
-
When homes are difficult to let, we may offer them to applicants who have applied more recently if we consider it the only way to get a home occupied.
-
In exceptional cases such as serious harassment, a home may be offered outside the date order system as a matter of urgency.
-
Two reasonable offers of accommodation may be made. A reasonable offer is the right type of home in the area where you want to live.

If you’re unhappy with the way we have dealt with your application you may appeal to our Housing Manager. If you remain unhappy, you may make a further appeal to our Board of Management.
